Just spent half an hour in a heated discussion with my dad about the difference between mine and his generations portrayal of particular film genres and the obvious lack of ideas in my years of fantastic original concepts for films. Not that there haven’t been a great many movies in the past years that have done well and created a world wide name for themselves but most have been based on similar books/comics or previous creations from an old tv show or movie. What I would like is for them to come out with new and inventive film ideas that have same affect on my generation that the likes of Rocky Horror or The Lost Boys had on his. (which coincidentally happen to be two of my favourite films). Please would you do it for me? If not do it for the generation the proceeds ours to achieve the historic importance as those before have done.
